Janesville Step Closer To A Skate Park

Let me see - the city is trying to make the residents put in unnecessary sidewalks, the schools are talking about raising the taxes and they are planning onn implementing a wheel tax but they seem to be able to come up with money to sink into a skate park.
When did Janesville becoming a booming city of economic growth again?  There is nothing quite as sickening as when Liberals are in charge.

Milwaukee Public Schools Wasted $102 Million On Construction

The MPS came up with the brilliant idea that if they spent a boat load of money on building additions and renovations they would be able to save money on busing kids all over the place.  You may not think that saving money on busing wouldn't amount to much but considering they spend almost $60 million a year on busing the kids to the 90+ schools throughout the district - the plan would offset this colossal waste of money.
So, to get around the need for a public vote on a referendum - which was defeated several years before 3 to 1 - they came up with a brilliant way around it.  They came up with a way to circumvent the taxpayers (voters) and secure $30 million a year in busing aid.  This is how you get the MPS $102 million construction waste.

They spent over $100 million on buildings that are sitting empty, rooms that are sitting empty and rented buildings that aren't used.  Bravo you dumb asses.  No wonder the students the schools in Milwaukee produce are some of the worst in the nation........look at the so called adults.

The WI Fraud Known As Foodshare

Here is just some of the fraud going on with the WI Foodshare program:

Sell their Quest cards for cash.

Trade them for drugs.

Sell the food to friends at a discount to get cash.

Use their Quest cards in exchange for cash - completing the deal in the parking lot and pocketing $50 for every $100 they spend in Quest funds.

33 prison inmates who either improperly received FoodShare benefits themselves or were improperly listed as living with someone else who did.

In 2010:

Nearly 2,000 FoodShare recipients reported losing their Quest card six or more times.

60 recipients had the cards replaced 12 or more times.

Federal rules require that a lost card must be immediately replaced and as you can probably tell - investigating these "lost cards" is not a high priority.

As is the case with all government programs - corruption and fraud are rampant.

Walker's Request To Stop Permanent Hires Ignored

As much as they want to say that these appointee's salaries are a insignificant amount of money when looking at the budget as a whole - why should taxpayer money be wasted.  One of the posts Doyle filled (after Walker was elected) had been vacant for 3 years.  If the state did without this position for 3 years get rid of it instead Doyle would rather the WI taxpayers pay this person's salary, benefits and pension.  WASTE!

Observers Blast Secret Doyle Cancun Trip

Just some observers blast our lame duck governor's trip to Cancun when he has less than a month left in office?  Hell, even the Liberals that think this moron did anything good for our state should be outraged by this.  His trip was paid for by someone wanting a favor (I'm sure) but a staffer and his 2 body guards were on the taxpayer dime. 
The following quote from UW professor Charles Franklin sums it all up pretty well - "He's not going to be around next year or the future to affect green energy in the state," Charles Franklin, a UW political science professor, said, questioning what a lame-duck governor could accomplish in a trip during his last few weeks in office.

Local Companies Shut Out Of Renard Isle Causeway Bidding

Here is an example of the federal government at work.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers negotiated a contract with a Milwaukee contractor to build a causeway in the Fox Valley area for $1.7 million more than what 2 Fox Valley area contractors bid to do it.
Can anyone out there explain the thinking of the standard government moron to me?
